FATCHECK is a community education programme to promote low-fat, heart-healthy diet. The programme aims to meet the following objectives:
1. Caution the public against high fat intake
2. Provide low-fat dietary advice and cooking tips
3. Advocate the low-fat, heart-healthy diet as a desirable, contemporary lifestyle trait.
About FATCHECK 2015
In 2015, FATCHECK invited the collaboration of the Institut Jantung Negara (IJN), the leading heart institution in the region, to ensure the relevance and effectiveness of the programme.
The programme took off with a low-fat cooking competition among IJN staff, family and friends where they were tasked to whip up a low fat nutritious dish prepared using the Philips Airfryer.
Following the competition, the recipes are contributed in a low-fat, heart-healthy cookbook and proceeds from the sale of the cookbook will be donated to the IJN Foundation.
